Donors for Life, Inc. (DFL) is a marketing and consulting company for the Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Region of the American Red Cross. Founded in February of 2005 at the University of Maryland in College Park, Donors For Life, Inc. hopes to turn students into heroes by giving them the opportunity to save lives through blood donation. Donors for Life, Inc. acts as a liaison between the American Red Cross and university communities by organizing, marketing, and managing blood drives on university campuses. DFL works with the American Red Cross to quadruple University collection rates while creating a program that is both convenient and accessible for students, faculty, and staff. To ensure that this goal is met, Donors For Life works with Residence Halls, University Departments, and Student Organizations to provide students with an excellent donation experience in the hope that they will become Donors For Life.
